HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

IS IT REAL HAIR?

It most certainly is! This means you can curl, straighten, colour and wear as if it is your own hair. But keep in mind that even Kim K doesn’t wake up looking like Kim K. They require styling and a bit of attention in the morning to make sure they are sitting right with your natural hair.

WILL THE EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL HAIR?

Anything unnatural, or with extended use can damage your hair. However, following the care instructions will do minimal damage. It is always advised to have a break if you've had extensions in for 6 months continuously. 

CAN I COLOUR THE EXTENSIONS?

Yes, as long as you're only depositing colour. It is advised you DO NOT lighten the extensions as it causes breakage and often leaves them feeling a bit dry. Always seek help from a professional for colour services.

HOW LONG DO HAIR EXTENSIONS LAST?

Lifestyle is a huge factor in the lifespan of extensions. Usually you will get 1 - 3 tightenings before you need a new set. If you go to the gym often, swim a lot, or even use heated tools (straighteners, curlers, hairdryers) the lifespan of the hair extensions shortens. Remember - it is real hair. So it takes damage like your own hair!

HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TIGHTENING?

This depends on the rate of growth of your natural hair, and the type of hair extension that is applied. Tightening can be needed as soon as 4 weeks, or in some cases up to 12 weeks after application. Make sure you follow the care guide to maintain them for your tightening service. Avoiding to follow care and tightening procedures can lead to damage of your natural hair. 

CAN I REMOVE MY OWN HAIR EXTENSIONS ?

No, we do not recommend removing your own extensions as this can damage your natural hair through breakage, matting and irritation to the scalp. We recommend to come back to Sassy Me for removal or go to a professional hair extension technician to ensure the proper care for your hair.

WHAT TYPE OF HAIR DO YOU USE?

Sassyme uses our own brand of hair extensions. It is 100% human remy hair and gets sourced globally. We are more than happy to apply your own supplied hair too at just the cost of application, but obviously cannot guarantee quality or the life of extensions.

WHAT LENGTH IS THE HAIR?

Our standard stocked length is 22 inch. If you are after a length we do not have listed, often we can order it in. However it can take up to 5 weeks to get it made and delivered so make sure you order in advance for events.

WHAT PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE ON MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?

At Sassyme we use Fanola products. We also have our own brand of Shampoo & Conditioner. Oils in a pure form, like Simply Sassy and Argan oil (with nothing else added), are excellent for extensions. You can use freely from mid lengths to ends - wet or dry. 

Please understand that every hair manufacturer will have a different care guide, and recommend different products for their extensions. This is because all hair is processed differently. We recommend products and care based on SASSYME hair extensions only. Panthenol and most Proteins should be avoided as they can jeopardise the quality and life of your hair extensions and can make them feel dry, matted and brittle.
